Boost your Immunity in Miami Beach

You have the hand washing, sanitizing and social distancing down pat during this COVID-19 pandemic, and we thank you for keeping up the good work! But what can you do on the inside to keep your health in top notch against the coronavirus? Here are some nutrients that can help give you an immunity boost:

Hydration: Mild dehydration can be physically stressing to the body and lower the ability to mount an immune response.

How to get it?

Our IV therapy! Our Basic Hydration IV with Electrolytes gives you a liter of fluids and will knock any dehydration out right away.

Vitamin B12: Vitamin B12 was shown in a study of patients with vitamin B12 deficiency anemia to increase the number of CD8 T-cells (“killer” white blood cells that produce antibodies) and improve the immune response of the body.

Our Vitamin B12 shot! A perfect addition to hydration IV and other IV varieties.

Vitamin C: Vitamin C helps differentiate white blood cells to determine what kind of protection the body needs. It also increases the levels of antibodies in the blood which help trigger an immune response. There are reports of high dose IV vitamin C being given to COVID positive patients in the ICU in New York in conjunction with medication therapies. A clinical trial study is under way at Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University to determine the efficacy of high dose IV vitamin C in the treatment of viral pneumonia caused by COVID-19.

How to get it?

Our Cold and Flu Therapy IV! It contains a high dose of vitamin C. You can also get high doses of vitamin C in our Miami Beach Hangover Cure, Detox & Vitamin Infusion and Ultimate Beauty Glow IV therapies.

Zinc: A popular nutrient in cold and flu therapy, zinc helps immune cells grow and differentiate. Some studies have shown that zinc lozenges and supplements may shorten the length of a cold by a day, as well as prevent some upper respiratory infections in children.

How to get it?

Our Cold and Flu Therapy IV! You can also get zinc with our Pre/Post-Workout Rebuild IV therapy.

Vitamin D: Vitamin D helps produce a protein that selectively kills infectious agents like bacteria and viruses. Some studies have shown that adults that took higher doses of vitamin D developed acute respiratory infections less often than those who took a low dose or none at all.

How to get it?

Sunlight is the easiest way to get Vitamin D! Sit in a sunny area of your home while you sip your morning coffee or eat lunch, for up to 30 minutes, to let your body make vitamin D.

Bonus tip: Reduce stress! It is easy to let stress build up with the uncertainty of the times and quarantine life. A 20+ year series of studies at Carnegie Mellon University exposed volunteers to the cold virus and found those had reported less stress in their lives developed cold symptoms less often.

How to do this?
