Summer Skin Care Tips

Summer Skin Care Tips recommended by Sarah McGuire, Registered Acupuncturist

As we all know summer can go by in a flash … So my goal this summer is to get outside and enjoy as much of it as I can!

While enjoying the glorious summer days, it is easy to let your skincare regimen slip. Here are some of my summer skincare tips to help your skin enjoy the summer as much as you are!!

Daily Skin Protection: I have always been quite resistant to wearing sunscreen due to its clogging or chalky nature until I was introduced to Alumier-Moisture Matte Broad Spectrum SPF 40. This sunscreen protects against UVA and UVB rays using a combination of zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. It is smooth, light and hydrating, creating a sheer tint with a healthy glow. Finally, a sunscreen that I look forward to having on my skin.

Lotion P50, by Biologique Recherche. This liquid lotion is truly a godsend. It will likely be a lifelong obsession of mine, as it seemingly does the impossible of both exfoliating and brightening. If you are prone to any kind of skin discoloration or pigmentation, this stuff is like magic! It will also control sebum, prevent pimples and does a great job at healing, calming and balancing the skin. It is also good for all skin types. Love, Love, Love!

HydroGlow Facial. This treatment is a must have over the summer, especially if you like the sun as much as I do. The formula is concentrated with anti-oxidants to help repair the free radical damage caused by too much sun, alcohol and environmental pollutants. The technique used is called mesotherapy nappage, which gently introduces the solution to the top layer of the skin, leaving you with a radiant and dewy complexion. Think of it as a big glass of water for your face … with all the benefits your face needs and deserves!
